We Run Wild Ni & Atlas Running have joined forces to bring you an amazing event.
The Lecale Way 50km Ultra is a point to point route and will start in Strangford and will finish in Newcastle.
There are spectacular views along the route and you will finish in the shadow of the Mourne Mountains. You won't be disappointed.
This is a self sufficient, self navigating event, Following the Lecale way route markers
(no map reading skills necessary). This is about enjoying the freedom of running without marshals and signage to interrupt the beauty of the landscape.
PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO MARSHALS OR ROUTE SINGAGE ON THIS EVENT!
A GPX FILE FOR THE ROUTE WILL BE AVAILABLE TO DOWNLOAD.
Start Times and cut-off's:
50km Start time 10.00am - The total time allowed to complete this event is 7hrs 30mins.
Bus to the start will leave Newcastle at 8.30am sharp.
You will receive the following as part of your entry:
Bespoke Medal.
T Shirt.
Chip Timing.
Trophies for 1st 2nd 3rd Male and Female in each event.
Medical cover.
Insurance.
Water to refill your own bottles.
Refreshments at the finish COVID dependant.
