Right in the middle of the Historic town of Carrickfergus, this course offers runners the opportunity to run in a traffic free, parks environment.
This is a looped course and runs through Carrickfergus Millponds and Shaftesbury Park.
Each loop is one mile and distances include 5, 10k, Half and Full Marathon (official MCUK and MCI Marathon). We also have a 1km kids run around the Millponds (Reindeer antlers optional!).
Please note that the kids run is open to children aged 4-14. Children aged 11 and below must be within arms reach of a parent/guardian throughout their run/walk. Children under the age of 4 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times. While We Run Wild Ni fully accepts its duty of care and will do everything to minimise the risk of injury and harm to all participants, parents/guardians ultimately have responsibility for the welfare of their child.
There is a refreshment stand at the start of each loop and runners will be provided with water, coke and Jaffa cakes during the race.
Each runner will receive a bespoke medal, refreshments and the race is chip-timed.
There is free parking at the Leisure Centre, there are Toilet Facilities in the Leisure Centre and Changing facilities with lockers for a small charge.
