THE LIGHTHOUSE RUN

The Lighthouse Run: Will consist of a Full Marathon and Half Marathon
Start: Carrickfergus
Finish: Carrickfergus
Finish: Carrickfergus
Both events start and finish in Carrickfergus exact location tbc.
The route will be from Carrickfergus to Whitehead Lighthouse and back, both the Full Marathon and Half Marathon will follow the same route to the Lighthouse, but will follow different routes on the return Journey.
As with all of our events, both events will use our tried and tested road book for directions, there will be no marshal's or signs on the course. This is an easy to follow step by step instruction book no map reading skills are needed.(see below for a sample of the instructions in the book)
As with all of our events this will be a self sufficient event, you must carry enough food and water to last you for the duration of your chosen event.
AS WE ARE A NO TRACE EVENT ORGANISER, WE DO NOT SUPPLY CUPS OR BOTTLES OF WATER AROUND THE COURSE.
For the Marathon event we will have a water refill station as close to the Halfway point as possible.
Start times: Marathon 8:30, Half Marathon 9:00 tbc.

Below is a sample of the step by step instructions in the Road Book:
Leave the Castle carpark and follow the footpath past the Castle on your Right, stay on the path close to the sea, follow this footpath to the subway on your Left just before the pier.
Go through the subway to the opposite side of the road, going through the subway turn Right and go up the steps to the Knights Statues.
Follow the footpath past the Knights statue heading in the direction of Whitehead the sea will be on your right-hand side.
Stay on this footpath and keep going Straight in the direction of Whitehead.
