We Run Wild NI have developed another unique twist to running in NI. In 2020 we hosted our inaugural magical mystery 50KM event - the concept was to take runners on a 50km run without them knowing where they where going until they arrived at the registration point on the morning of the run!
Sounds crazy? Our runners loved the idea and it was a really popular event.....so we are hosting it again in 2023!
Here is how it works:
You register online - we give you a fair idea of the type of course you will be running (hilly/flat/road/trail) and that's all you know - it's the running equivalent of a whodunnit!
In 2020, the finish line for the event was Newtownards so runners met us there, then boarded a bus to an unknown start line location! They were then transported a short journey to Lisburn and ran the lagan towpath and the Comber Greenway all the way back to Newtownards using our trusty roadbook.
The 2023 event will be just as surprising - we will only disclose the registration location a couple of days before the event and then ONLY on the morning of the event you will find out the actual route.
