Dublin to Belfast

We are pleased to announce that we have taken over the event from Atlas Running.
For 2026 the date will be the 9th May, we know this is later than previous years due to our race calendar being already prepared, we hope to return the event to its previous dates in 2027.
For this year 2026 the event will follow the same format as previous years in terms of distance, route, aid stations etc.
Dublin to Belfast 2026
Event Details:
Date – Saturday 9th May 2026
Compulsory kit: All runners must carry these items at all times.
Check points and aid station locations to be confirmed in advance of the event:
Drop bags: You are allowed 2 small drop bags both bags must be marked clearly with your name and race number and marked either drop bag 1 or 2 ( Please ensure you have Small Drop bags only, please do not arrive with suitcases as we will have limited van space)
Drop bags can only be reclaimed at these points and both can be collected at the finish.
Cut offs: There will be 3 cut off points. Any competitor not reaching these points before the cut off time will be withdrawn from the event.
In the event that your are withdrawn it will be your sole responsibility to arrange for your own transport back to the finish, we do not have a pick up service to come and collect you, if you think you are not going to make the cutoff in time it would be wise to arrange in advance to have someone on standby.
Stopping time: If you stop for more than 40 mins you will automatically be retired/withdrawn from the event. Your movements will be monitored via the trackers.
This is a continuous non-stop race, it is ok to rest for a short while, 30 to 40 mins is long enough any longer and you will not meet the cutoff’s you will inevitably get slower as time goes on.
In the case of an extreme emergency you must in the first instance call emergency services on 112 or 999 then phone the race Director. Anything minor please call the race Director
Crews: we welcome race crews.
Drink and drugs: Are not allowed under any circumstances. This is a race. You will be disqualified. Drinking while running or taking drugs is dangerous to you and other road users, please don't do it.
Night-time: It is your responsibility to stay visible at night time Hi Viz / Head Torch etc must be used. Your Hi Viz must have reflective strips, yellow or bright green t-shirts without reflective strips are not acceptable.
Race numbers: Must be worn on front at all times as you will be marked off as you pass each check Point.
Retiring: All competitors must notify race HQ immediately on retiring.
Being pulled from the event: The organisers and the medics have the right to pull you from the event if we believe that you are not fit to continue or if you are too far behind and not going to make the cut off. This can not be contested.
Money: Carry enough money in case of an emergency or retirement. Sterling and Euros.
Route: All competitors will be given a GPX of the route. This will be emailed before the event, you will need to have a suitable GPX device to download to either a watch with GPX facility, or a Handheld device, or you can download a specific GPX app to your mobile phone, details of how to do this can be found on our website. There will also be a tracker link that you can download to your phone.
Event Details:

- Registration - 10am to 11.30am
- Start - 12 noon – St James Gate, Dublin
- Distance - 170 km
- Time limit - 30hrs
- Age – you must be 18 or over to take part.

- Water proof jacket
- Foil blanket
- Head torch
- Emergency food
- Event numbers - must be worn were they can be seen at all times
- Hi viz - must be worn at all times.
- Trackers - must be attached to your backpack

- Don't forget your passport as the south is part of the EU, if you get stopped by Garda or Immigration you may be required to produce it, especially now with all of the illegal migration around the globe.
